Polaris Library Systems Welcomes New Team Members

Syracuse, NY, May 8, 2009 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, has expanded staffing in key areas of the organization, including customer support, product development, finance, sales, and marketing.

David Fulton joins the Polaris customer operations team as a site manager. In this role, David serves as a primary contact for Polaris customers and is the liaison between technical support and customer sites. David comes to Polaris with over ten years of experience as reference/computer literacy librarian at Liverpool Public Library in New York. Prior, David was electronic services librarian at H. Douglas Barclay Law Library at Syracuse University College of Law and network information specialist at AskERIC, also at Syracuse. He has a master's of library science degree from Syracuse University School of Information Studies.

Jeanne Otten returns to the Polaris product development team after serving as a systems librarian at the Information Institute of Syracuse, School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Jeanne previously worked as a product analyst at Gaylord Information Systems (now Polaris Library Systems). She resumes her role as a product analyst, specializing in the public access catalog (PAC) and cataloging subsystems of the Polaris ILS. Jeanne has a master's of library science degree from the University of Michigan's School of Information Studies.

Chuck Petty, CFO, joins Polaris with over twenty years of financial and business experience. He was previously partner and manager at a regional CPA firm and manager for an international CPA firm. Most recently, Chuck served as chief financial officer of a health care organization in Syracuse.

Emily DeMarché joins Polaris as a senior accountant. Emily comes to Polaris with over seven years of experience in accounting and tax preparation. Prior to joining Polaris, she served as a professional accountant at Syracuse China and as a tax senior with Dannible & McKee, LLP.

Carla Giorgi comes to Polaris as an account manager for the Midwest Region and Canada. Prior to joining Polaris, Carla worked as a cataloger for Moorestown Library in New Jersey. She has also held high school teaching positions in English, art, and Spanish. Carla is a graduate of Drexel University, where she obtained a master's of science degree in Library and Information Science.

Katy Mackey joins the Polaris marketing team after completing her master's of science degree in Media Management at the. S. I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. Katy received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Le Moyne College.
